The Sunday Mood No. 32
This Sunday Mood, let Mumford and Son’s Winter Winds sweep you off your feet. Watch them battle the winds as they journey down the road and sing of love, reminding you that spring is right around the corner.

Bundle up warm in your favourite scarf, and dance to Tegan and Sara’s Alligator! Filled with confetti snow, cozy hooded scarves, and good music what more could you ask for?
With temperatures dropping in the New Year, have a listen to Blue by We are Wolves. The electronic beats are sure to keep you up and energized this chilly January!
As 2010 draws to a close, it’s only natural that we begin to reflect on this past year’s events, happy and sad. And we’d like to leave you with Auld Lang Syne. This particular rendition is by Mairi Campbell and Dave Francis. It’s a beautiful song and reminds you that even if you’re alone on New Year’s Eve, we’re never quite alone. Wishing you a very Happy New Year from the TPW family.
I remember the first time I came across The Bird and The Bee. Having enjoyed Inara George’s songs previously, I fell in love with the duo’s release of Carol of the Bells. It captures the twinkling lights that glow against the nipping cold. And with Christmas just shy of 5 days away, this will get you excited to celebrate it once again. The wait for Christmas will soon be over as it’s right around the corner!
I remember coming across this song last year. I had it on repeat and listened to it over and over again. The soft voices from Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson’s Winter Song reminds you of snow gently falling down. It beckons you to take a moment out of your day to enjoy winter.
Today’s Sunday Mood, White Winter Hymnal by the Fleet Foxes, will hopefully put you in the winter spirit. Every time we listen to this song we feel a lull – it’s most likely due to their soothing voices accompanied by such sweet beats. Hope you’re having a splendid Sunday!
A Sunday Mood to help you relax. Keren Ann’s Lay Your Head Down will to lull you back to sleep. Her soft voice, along with the gentle melody that washes over you, will have you playing her song over and over again. Let the world whirl by as you take time to watch from the sidelines.
It’s only befitting that this week’s Sunday Mood is a Montreal band. So let me introduce you to Sweet Sixteen by Think About Life. I discovered this band through TPW’s own intern, Erin. This isn’t their official video but it’s amusing and it will make you get up and dance around in your room. Really. No one’s watching!
One of my favourite things to do during the summer is to have the windows rolled down and drive on the highway with the wind whipping through my hair and the sun streaming down. There’s something so natural and careless about driving so freely. But of course you can’t forget your summer driving music. So this week I’d like to share Toneless‘ Closer to Sun. It certainly hits the spot. Roll down your windows and blast some music.
